We started with a problem: every smart home platform wanted access to your data, required a subscription, and broke when the cloud went down. So we built our own — running entirely on local hardware, serving the family that uses it, owned by nobody else.
That first system was a Raspberry Pi, a Ring camera, and a stock tracker. It wasn’t pretty. But it was ours. Over time it grew into Nexum — a full home intelligence platform now available to other families who want the same thing.
Real estate followed naturally. Building software taught us to look for undervalued assets — properties in growing markets where the numbers make sense without speculation. Florida, where we live and operate, is that market for us today.
LUDDAN SERVICES LLC was incorporated to formalize this work: to own the IP, hold the properties, and operate the technology under a single structure — privately held, debt-averse, and focused on compounding quietly.
